There was this.

Asylum began in 2019 with a tattoo removal business operating out of a converted ambulance. It was small, unconventional and a long way from the clinic you see today.

But the idea was already there.

We became fascinated with the technology behind what we were doing — how different systems worked, what made a treatment better, and how much difference the person using the technology could make.

That curiosity grew.

Today, Asylum brings together advanced laser, light, ultrasound and body technologies under one roof, covering skin, hair, tattoos and body.

We've come a little way since the ambulance.

Being appointment-only, without a shopfront or walk-in reception, keeps our overheads down, and we pass that on in our prices.

And we haven't lost the curiosity that got us here.

Our FormaTK Alpha uses Milo, a skin-reading technology that measures melanin before laser hair treatment. That information helps us select treatment settings based on the skin in front of us, rather than relying on appearance alone.
