How many treatments will I need?
Laser hair reduction is delivered as a course because hair grows in cycles. The number and spacing of treatments depend on your skin, hair and treatment area. We'll discuss a suitable plan at consultation.
Is laser hair reduction permanent?
Laser hair reduction can provide long-term reduction in unwanted hair, but results vary and maintenance may be required.
What is Milo?
Milo is the melanin meter that works with our Alpha laser. It measures the melanin in your skin so the settings are calibrated to you rather than estimated. Too little energy can limit results and too much can affect comfort and skin safety, so we take a fresh reading and recalibrate at every treatment.
Does it hurt?
Comfort varies between people and between areas. The Alpha has a cooling tip and several treatment modes, including a gentler double-pulse option, and your technician will adjust settings to keep you comfortable.
Is there anything that means I cannot have treatment?
Some conditions and medications, pregnancy, tanned skin and tattoos in the treatment area can affect whether treatment is suitable. Your technician reviews your history and skin at consultation before anything is planned.

Precision starts with a reading
Before any laser pulse, Milo measures the melanin in your skin. That reading calibrates the Alpha to you, so the energy is set by measurement instead of estimation. The aim is a setting strong enough to be effective and gentle enough to be safe, recalibrated at every session as your skin changes.

The laser targets melanin in the hair follicle.

The 808nm light is absorbed by the pigment in the follicle and converts to heat.

The heat affects the follicle, reducing its ability to grow hair.
04Natural process
The treated hair is naturally shed over the following weeks. Because hair grows in cycles, further sessions follow.
